Client Stories & Successes
China Merchants Securities International (CMSI) is the main overseas business platform of China Merchants Securities. It became the first Chinese securities firm approved as a clearing member in four exchanges under the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Group (CME Group). Furthermore, it stands as the only Chinese securities company engaging in overseas precious metals business.
Challenge
m-FINANCE supports CMSI by providing a robust backend management system for their global commodities department, focusing on bullion trading and settlement.
This backend system serves as the backbone of their operations, handling critical functions such as data management, process automation, and enhancing overall business efficiency. It comprises various functional modules and integrates seamlessly with other systems. As a result, any changes to system portals require careful evaluation to ensure operational stability and security. Furthermore, as a member of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), CMSI must ensure that its backend system complies with all regulatory requirements.
Result
m-FINANCE fully understands the importance of security and stability in backend management for CMSI. From the very beginning of the project, we have focused on maintaining system stability, which resulting in no significant issues during our collaboration.
With a robust architectural design and rigorous performance testing, the backend management system provides solid support for CMSI’s business growth. Additionally, m-FINANCE integrates multiple third-party reporting systems used by CMSI, allowing its management team to monitor various data through a single interface. This integration enables quicker and more effective data analysis.
As CMSI is a member of Hong Kong's Securities and Futures Commission, m-FINANCE understands the importance of maintaining compliance for CSMI. Therefore, we have developed various report templates that meet the SFC's strict requirements and implemented different password settings and authentication measures to ensure compliance, helping CMSI tackle regulatory challenges effectively.
